Our P-2 students recently participated in the enriching Henny Penny Chick Program. This hands-on educational initiative allowed our young learners to witness the miracle of life as they nurtured and cared for adorable chicks.
Throughout the program, students learnt how to be gentle when holding the chicks and what these animals needed to survived. This experiential learning not only deepened their understanding of life cycles but also instilled crucial values of empathy and compassion.
As the program reached its culmination, the bonds formed were evident as the chicks were joyfully adopted into three loving families within our school community. These feathered friends have not only found new homes but have also left an indelible mark on the hearts of our students.
The Henny Penny Chick Program stands as a testament to the power of hands-on education in fostering a love for animals and nurturing essential life skills. It has left a lasting impression on our young learners, reminding them of the beauty and responsibility that come with caring for living beings.
